OK, I've been "Censured" by the Parks Board, after they decided not to try the more embarassing route of asking the City Council to remove my Parks Board membership. SO.... I then proposed a Win-Win for EVERYONE. I proposed to the "leaders" of the Parks Board that I would resign from the Parks Board, if they simply did ONE thing in return. That ONE thing would be to redesign Centennial Park while there is still time. This really would not be a major redesign. But this proposed redesign would be to NOT complete one of the two large sports fields. That would save maybe $500,000 or so. That money would then be used to make the Family Area larger than the postage stamp it is now.
And then there would be plenty of money for toilets, benches, playground, family things that 90% of Billings asked for. Sounds simple, huh ? The people of Billings get what they asked for. The Parks Board gets what it wants, more than anything else. And I get away from all of this intrigue. PERFECT !!! Well, except that the Parks Board once again ignored me. Too much EGO on the line, I guess. I'll still stand by my offer. It can't get any better than this !!
